Ensono solutions outperform National Trust initial estimates for £100 million benefits case
The client
National Trust is one of the largest landowners and charities in the U.K., with revenues of more than £475 million and more than 4.6 million members. Since 1895, the National Trust has preserved and cared for national treasures across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The obstacles faced
The National Trust embarked on the largest and most ambitious transformation initiative in its history, a £40 million programme of works called the System Simplification Programme (SSP) that would revolutionise how it interacts with its customers.
The journey
Ensono enabled the Trust’s transformational journey by providing a platform and location-independent hybrid IT approach that utilised AWS public cloud. Our experienced consultants were engaged on a number of aspects of the project, including program management.
From review to design to change, Ensono’s three-phase approach identified assets and services across the entire IT estate, defined a new data centre strategy, and delivered a hybrid solution with the optimum blend of managed, co-location, and cloud services.

The outcomes achieved
Ensono’s scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions helped the Trust’s £100 million benefits case outperform initial estimates, while our team of consultants ensured that customers experienced uninterrupted service throughout the transition, resulting in exceptionally strong membership renewals.
