Ensono Eyes New Growth Opportunities for Mainframe and Application Modernization and Cloud-Native Services
Hybrid cloud leader celebrates multiple achievements and continues its investments for global clients
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Apr. 14, 2022 –Ensono, a leading end-to-end managed services provider and KKR company, eyes new growth opportunities in 2022 as the company continues to advance its mainframe and application modernization and public cloud investments for global clients. By the close of 2021, Ensono added 27 clients across seven industries for mainframe and application modernization and cloud-native services, fueling its growth as leader in managed services and application development and resulting in a 13% increase in revenue. Ensono also received three Challenge Coin awards from IBM, recognizing the Ensono team’s mainframe expertise and innovation on the modern connected Z platform.
With the acquisition of Amido, a UK-based cloud-native consultancy, in April 2021 and ExperSolve, a legacy application modernization company, in December 2021, Ensono added new experts and advancements that allow the company to offer application-layer services on various platforms such as mainframe and distributed while helping clients configure cloud-native and hybrid environments. Ensono also joined the KKR portfolio in June, helping to strengthen its position as a leading managed service provider and drive innovation to meet the changing needs of clients.
“The acquisitions of Amido and ExperSolve in 2021 have strengthened our ability to offer services that hit on every layer of the technology stack, helping clients get the most from their mainframe and cloud-native environments,” said Brian Klingbeil, Chief Strategy Officer at Ensono. “The reality for most organizations is that they’re in need of both sophisticated cloud-native services and a modernization of legacy and mainframe systems, rather than having to choose between one or the other. At Ensono, we bring our clients to the forefront of innovation in the hybrid cloud space and will continue to pave the way for clients on their digital transformation journeys in 2022.”
Ensono also welcomes Chad Mead to the team as vice president of mainframe and security consulting. Mead brings over 25 years of experience in multiple industries around the IT function including operations, engineering and security. Mead joins Ensono to lead the Mainframe and Security Consulting practice, helping to absorb the team from ExperSolve and provide clients with the best expertise across mainframe optimization and modernization needs. With Mead at the helm of Ensono’s mainframe and security consulting offerings, clients can trust that they’re getting the right experts to modernize and optimize their mainframe environments and provide best-in-class solutions to achieve business outcomes.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of this team that continues to fuel Ensono’s leadership as the top provider of managed mainframe and modernization services for organizations across the globe,” said Mead. “With the acquisition of ExperSolve and their experienced leaders, we’ve built a powerhouse team at Ensono that can keep up with industry standards and continue to provide clients with only the best hybrid cloud solutions in the industry.”
Ensono also hired Jeff Wile in December as executive vice president to lead Ensono’s public cloud practice. His focus is to provide clients with cloud-native services and help grow Ensono’s partnerships with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
