Manager Automation

Responsibilities

• Manage process control and automation projects from the concept to commissioning and validation.
• Overseeing requirements gathering, development, testing and deployment  of automation projects and making sure timely delivery of projects.
• Review architecture, designs, process, requirements.
• Review code developed by team members and provide guidance and feedback.
• Regular cadence with stake holders to provide timely status of the automation projects.
• Mentor other Automation Engineers on standard methodology from Infra orchestration and troubleshooting application service in production.
• Prepare and present report to leaders community.
• Work with development teams to make sure the applications are production ready, scalable and reliable from the grounds up.
• Identify gaps in current process and work towards its improvement from past learnings.

Experience

• Experience in leading a team of automation developers.
• Expertise in designing, architecting and developing automations using like Ansible, Terraform, Python.
• Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability or Infrastructure engineering.
• Experience in Linux, Windows and Network for automation development and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in writing code with any programming/scripting language like Python and shell to automate tasks.
• Experience in reporting and presenting it to leaders.
• Good communication skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CI tool like Jenkins and source control management tool like github, bitbucket etc.
