Mainframe Security Engineer

The Security Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and support of enterprise and data center wide voice and data security solutions that align with the architecture and business models to achieve optimal solutions for Ensono and its customers. The Security Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Security solutions to include Security, Security/Threat, and Voice solutions; developing and maintaining Security documentation; developing and maintaining Security standards and guidelines; manage Security and security capacity planning; interacting and consulting with Ensono ENSG customers to collect required solution information; coordinating solutions with Ensono ENSG customers; and providing support for engineering design and implementation issues.

Job Description Summary:

Basic Knowledge of Security and good security best practices:

• Hands-on administration of RACF, ACF2 and Top-Secret login ID's, dataset, and resource rules.
• Monitor system security policy and violations/incidents
• Perform and review daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports
• Liaison with business areas and other technical support areas
• Provide customer support by preparing ad hoc reports and giving presentations
• Monitors the environment for adherence to security standards
• Must be available 24 x7
• Experience using Vanguard and/or IBM zSecure security products
• iSeries security knowledge a plus

 

Technical Skills:  

• Hands-on administration of RACF, ACF2 or Top-Secret required.
• Excellent TSO, JCL, IBM UTILITIES, JES2, and ISPF a must.
• Experience with REXX or any programming language required.
• Experience with Unix or Linux on Z programming desired.
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISPF panels desired.
• Experience with CICS preferred.
• Experience using Vanguard security products is desired.
• Experience with IAM, MFA and PAM are desired.

 

General Knowledge:

• MVS experience is highly desired
• PC Skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education:

• CISSP, CISA, CISM or ITIL Certification a plus
• Bachelors or master’s degree Preferred
• Other mainframe security products a plus
