Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Project Management Governance Leader to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the governance of project management processes, creating and managing project portfolios, and leading infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical program management and IT infrastructure, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and ensure successful project delivery of our top hybrid clients running services in Public and Private cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance and Oversight: Develop and implement governance frameworks to ensure consistent project management practices across the organization. Monitor and manage active projects, focusing on critical projects.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Create and manage project portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives. Prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Manage a team of Project managers and lead infrastructure projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Provide guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Technical Program Management: Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope commitments. Manage project metrics, communication, and escalation processes.
  • IT Infrastructure Expertise: Utilize strong technical skills to support IT infrastructure projects, including cloud and hybrid IT transformations. Ensure compliance with IT service management processes and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing service delivery and operational excellence. Implement change management operating models, including communications and training approaches.

 

Required Skillset:

  • Technical Program Management: Proven experience in managing complex technical programs and projects, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • IT Infrastructure Background: Extensive experience in IT infrastructure, including cloud and hybrid IT environments and IT service management.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Expertise in creating and managing project portfolios, prioritizing initiatives, and allocating resources effectively.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Technical Skills: Good understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), private cloud, network and security management, and ITIL-driven service management.
  • Experience with Tools: Proficiency in using tools such as PowerBI for data analytics and visualization, MS Excel, MS Project and Smartsheets for project management and collaboration.
  • Communication and Escalation: Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage project metrics, communication, and escalation processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical project and/or program management and IT infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $150,000 to $175,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
