Director, Business Partner Associate Relations

The Culture and People Experience (CPE) team in India consists of the following functions – Business Partners, Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits and Talent Acquisition.   The Director of the Business Partner team assesses and anticipates CPE related needs for the region in conjunction with the other CPE functions and business leaders at every level . The Director formulates partnerships across the CPE function to deliver value added service to management and associates that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Drives enterprise-wide CPE initiatives locally. The Director maintains an effective level of business literacy about strategic business objectives, financial position, its culture, and its competition.  A self-starter with solid experience of building HR functions from the ground up in rapid growth environments.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive employee relations strategies in region that align with Ensono’s global goals and values
  • Provide oversight, coaching and direction to the Business Partner team
  • Is the Business Partner for the in-country overall leader and the senior India leadership team – strategic advisor
  • A champion of the Ensono culture in region and focused on our employer brand internally and externally
  • Sees the whole picture and adjusts work accordingly
  • Works with country market leaders and senior function leaders to deliver solutions.  Works collaboratively with all CPE colleagues (Globally) to deliver and implement HR initiatives across country/region and understands local market trends impact
  • Ability to draw strong insights from Talent data to showcase key trends and work collaboratively with Leaders to enable key decisions via key initiatives, as appropriate and needed
  • Lead initiative in region to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction and retention including the ongoing delivery of talent review/career path/performance management/learning management related activities including succession planning
  • Support the in-region business with skill planning
  • Advise and support senior leaders in the execution of country-specific employment practices ensuring an appropriate balance between commercial requirements, ethical issues and employment law 
  • Provide advice and support to senior leaders in areas of compensation in line with global and/or country policies in accordance with our compensation and benefits structures
  • Collaborate with local leadership and the legal team to develop and update policies and procedures that are compliant with good ethics, company standards and local legislation and that promote a positive work environment.  Ensure Leaders and associates demonstrate our core values and provide a safe and supportive culture which treats everyone fairly and with respect.  Must have experience with best practices related to Culture and legislation (e.g. POSH)
  • Ensure 100% success in all compliance matters including audits
  • Provides formal mentorship
  • May own high complexity assignments, can sense challenges and propose suitable solutions
  • Support the client engagement efforts related to bids and in country support for our employees located on client sites
  • Support global and local Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives and activities including DE&I
  • Acts as a spokesperson and market influencer in HR in India
  • Support all employees located in Asia – e.g. Singapore

Qualifications

Required 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with senior management and internal cross-functional teams
  • Effectively facilitates group collaboration
  • Ability to build strong internal and client relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and presentation skills
  • Acts with integrity and builds trust-based relationships – influences regardless of level

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree and related experience or equivalent work experience
  • Functional knowledge of HR support functions
  • Has a mix of start-up and enterprise experience within a global IT company
