Ensono Has Earned the Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop Advanced Specialization

Ensono has earned the Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) advanced specialization, a validation of a partner’s deep knowledge, extensive experience and expertise in deplying, scaling and securing virtual desktop infrastructure on Azure.

Only partners that meet stringent criteria around customer success and staff skilling, as well as pass a third-party audit of their Windows Virtual Desktop technical practices, are able to earn the Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop advanced specialization.

Supporting secure remote work for employees is more critical than ever. Windows Virtual Desktop is a Microsoft solution that seamlessly integrates with other Microsoft products and allows customers to implement virtual desktops in a scalable, secure, and cost-effective way.

COVID-19 accelerated the adoption of secure cloud-based solutions to accommodate remote work environments. IDC predicts that the total market opportunity for desktop as a service (DaaS) will reach nearly $3 billion as clients increasingly seek scalable remote working solutions. Ensono’s WVD managed service gives clients a scalable and secure environment for today’s distributed workforce.

Partners with validated capabilities in implementing Windows Virtual Desktop can help customers deploy and navigate the licensing efficiencies it offers to deliver the solution that is most efficient for their organization.

“When COVID-19 hit, we saw a significant increase in requests for solutions that support remote work, specifically Windows Virtual Desktop,” said Sean Roberts, General Manager, Public Cloud, Ensono. “Our solution is purpose-built to enable quick deployment for clients, and it enables their teams to work from any location and on any device.”

Ensono developed a standardized four-step process to enable rapid platform deployment, streamlined application integration, and proactive security:

  • Discovery: Review and assess the client’s remote access, application deployment, licensing, and security requirements.
  • Design: Architect a robust WVD platform to include security, image management, application integration and patching, end-user experience, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Build: Implement a comprehensive build phase engineered for cost optimization and dynamic scaling,  including Azure configuration, application integration, host-creation, and management tooling.
  • Operate: Execute fully managed service, monitoring, maintenance and, reporting of the environment.

Clients have already experienced benefits from Ensono’s WVD solution, including shortened associate onboarding cycles, reduced costs associated with equipment purchases, and custom access to client networks when addional resources are required.

Gavriella Schuster, Corporate Vice President, One Commercial Partner (OCP) at Microsoft Corp. added, “The Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop advanced specialization highlights the partners who can be viewed as most capable when it comes to deploying Windows Virtual Desktop in Azure. Ensono clearly demonstrated that they have both the skills and the experience to offer clients a path to transition to desktop-as-a-service in a scalable, secure, and cost-effective way.”

Ensono passed a rigorous audit process to receive the specialization. This announcement follows the recent news of Ensono’s Azure Expert MSP renewal. Ensono also received the 2020 Microsoft US Partner Award for Azure Datacenter Migration.
