Experienced Technology Service leader Hannah Birch will spearhead Ensono’s growth strategy in Europe
LONDON – 19 October 2021 – Ensono, a leading hybrid IT services provider, announced today that Hannah Birch has been appointed SVP and Managing Director (MD), Europe. Birch brings her vast experience in technology and transformation activities to head up Ensono’s European growth strategy. The appointment follows Ensono’s acquisition of cloud consultancy Amido, enabling Ensono to help more clients with their transformation challenges and co-creating new digital models. Birch takes over the role of MD of Europe from Barney Taylor.
Birch joined Ensono in June with a remit to transition into the managing director role. She spent over a decade at Accenture as Managing Director in Technology. Her work at Accenture included responsibilities heading up its Insurance Practice for Technology and on the Technology Leadership Team for UK & Ireland.
Birch brings over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry to her role at Ensono. She holds extensive expertise in transformation activities across all areas of technology, having worked with many multinationals both across the Insurance and Energy sector, as well as data centre and service management transformation engagements. Prior to her roles at Accenture, Birch held Leadership positions at both Computacenter and Fujitsu Services UK.
“Hannah brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the MD role,” said Ensono President Marc Capri. “She has a strong history leading businesses’ growth strategies and transformations. It is wonderful to officially confirm Hannah as Europe MD. During the smooth transition from Barney’s leadership in Europe, Hannah has quickly demonstrated a deep understanding of Ensono’s purpose to deliver transformational programmes to its clients. She is the perfect individual for the job to lead Ensono Europe to future success, building on the exciting opportunities created by Ensono’s recent acquisition of Amido.”
“I am more certain than ever that Ensono is one of a select few managed service providers with end-to-end digital transformation capabilities, primed to help our enterprise clients to thrive in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of technology in the 21st century,” said Birch. “Our acquisition of Amido brings with it a wide array of digital enablement capabilities. Ensono and Amido have already forged trusted partnerships with many leading brands, and with increasing demand for a more flexible and tech-driven experience across all sectors, I am really excited about the myriad of future opportunities to offer more innovative, and particularly cloud-native services to our clients.
“I would like to thank my predecessor Barney Taylor. During his three-year tenure he helped grow the business, win a range of new clients, and show the transformational change Ensono could deliver in partnership with our clients.
“Ensono Europe is full of exceptional and talented individuals, all passionate about helping clients to see the new possibilities for added value across the board created by technology. I am a firm believer in giving everyone the chance to succeed in a career in technology. I have already launched a new Apprenticeship program and we are working with the Government and its Kick Start Programme to support the development of the 18–24-year-olds who have been displaced during the pandemic. It’s imperative that as an industry that is facing a skills shortage, we play our part to develop early in career talent. I look forward to working together with all my team in this exciting new era for Ensono in Europe, as we accelerate Ensono’s growth ambitions and deliver more innovation and transformation to our clients and partners, helping to shape their futures in the years ahead.”
