VP, General Manager of US Enterprise


Ensono’s success is built on the belief that by adding constant, strategic value to its clients, it will enjoy lasting and deep relationships, rapid revenue growth, and a marketplace reputation as a Partner, not simply a vendor. The Vice President, General Manager will oversee Ensono’s Strategic and Enterprise segment, the company’s largest, most critical customer relationships. He or she will manage a team of approximately 20 Client Partners and support staff in this effort. The mission is to drive rapid revenue growth by ensuring that Ensono’s clients view the company as critical to their success. The General Manager will be measured on revenue growth, customer satisfaction and retention, and positive internal impact and report to the SVP, North American Sales

  • Managed Services
  • The candidate will have a history of consulting on and selling complex managed infrastructure and Cloud services to Fortune 1000 clients.
  • Experience in one or more areas: Mainframe, Managed Hosting, (Hybrid) Cloud, Managed Application Services etc
  • The candidate will have experience managing customer journeys from lower to higher level services
  • Leadership
  • The candidate will have a demonstrated history of building and upleveling sales and support organizations in a rapidly scaling environment.
  • Candidate will have a reputation for setting expectations clearly and communicating frequently and candidly with team members, peers and company leadership
  • Collaborative orientation, but able to “call the ball”
  • Inspire, mentor, openly credit others for outstanding performance
  • Develop respectful, effective cross-company, cross-functional relationships
  • Professional Characteristics
  • Entrepreneurial – a history of building organizations and revenue successfully, should be able to point to specific growth of revenue, headcount and customer SAT scores over past employment periods where the candidate was directly responsible for the outcomes
  • Engaged, proactive – a reputation for being in the field with clients and team members. Engendering throughout the Ensono organization a focus on proactively adding value to a Client’s business – a regular flow of new ideas, insights, ongoing risk and opportunity management on behalf of the client, creative and rapid responses to help clients cope with unexpected external events, expanding and developing the number and quality of decision-makers and influencers throughout a client’s environment
  • Consultative – a history of driving success as a consultant, either a formal consulting role or a leadership position with a large demonstrated consulting component.
  • Detailed – the candidate will have a reputation for understanding and retaining the key details, actions and business levers of Ensono’s largest accounts – able to “report up” on a client’s health at a moment’s notice and/or follow up with a Client Partner on the details of their selling and activity
  • Top 1% communication skills: verbal, written, presentations. Executive polish.
  • Transparent, honest, self-aware, direct, pleasant, respectful, thoughtful, team player
  • Financial and Performance Indicators
  • A strong background and set of best practices associated with defining and implementing key performance indicators, financial metrics, funnel metrics, customer SAT metrics etc
  • P&L and or sophisticated budgetary experience desired
  • Experience with / exposure to Private Equity a plus, not required
  • Strong business acumen, MBA desired, not required
