Vice President, Global Total Rewards


We are seeking a VP of Global Total Rewards for driving global program alignment, executing global rewards philosophy and strategy inclusive of broad-based compensation, benefits, wellness, employee mobility, recognition, and retention programs.


  • Leads the development, implementation, and execution of global compensation and benefit programs and salary structure designed to maintain an engaged global workforce.
  • Oversees delivery of global market leading Total Rewards programs and projects.  Leads complex global projects and programs such as the annual compensation process, mergers and acquisitions, and program development in alignment with global objectives.
  • Leads and develops a team of Total Rewards subject matter experts.
  • Partners with Chief People Officer, regional Culture and People Experience teams and leaders to ensure a competitive, consistent and aligned total rewards strategy.
  • Provides key stakeholders with a market leading total reward experience and level of service.
  • Partners with business and corporate leadership teams on critical total rewards initiatives, including compensation budget planning, executive compensation programs, etc. At times, may be involved in presenting to company’s Board of Directors on relevant total rewards topics.
  • Ensures that accurate estimates, forecasts, and calculations of expenditures in compensation align with budget planning and tracking.
  • Ensures market competitiveness and recommends cost-effective methods to enhance talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement through the development of effective total rewards.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive market benchmarking to continue to align and improve Ensono’s global benefits programs through strategic direction, process improvement, cost management.
  • Provides broad governance and leadership of retirement programs, including the US 401k plan. Interfaces with providers, brokers and auditors.
  • Coordinates vendor management, wellness and health education initiatives.
  • Partner with VP of Talent Acquisition on developing offers that are competitive and equitable and partner with the HRBP team to provide guidance on total compensation and equity.
  • Leverages technology to enhance total rewards reporting, communications and process simplification.
  • Provides ad-hoc analysis and uses data to drive solutions to complex global problems.
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive Ensono’s vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial or Labor Relations, Psychology, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in HR, compensation, benefits, or total rewards.
  • 15+ years of experience in total rewards design and strategy, salary benchmarking, job evaluation processes, incentive plans, benefits, and reward programs within a global matrixed organization
  • Global compensation and benefits experience required.
  • Experience with effectively scaling a global rewards function to support the company's business goals and growth, with a strong awareness of best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing complex reporting and analysis. Strong analytical, mathematical, statistical, and conceptual skills.

Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in HR, Industrial or Labor Relations, Psychology, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • Executive compensation experience preferred, including experience in design, managing, and administering ST and LT incentive and equity programs.
  • Strong ability to analyze trends and provide insights from internal and external data.
  • Strong experience leading and implementing projects and programs across global organizations.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills. Strong executive presence and HR judgement and instincts.
  • Prior experience in country total rewards program implementations.
  • Strong leadership skills and listening skills. Able to engage, listen to, and welcome employees as part of cultural development and leadership engagement.
  • Change leader; able to confront and handle ambiguity and steady under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.
  • High energy, self-starter. Positive spirit and purpose driven, with strong desire for global impact on people and our world.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of government regulations that apply to compensation and benefits both domestically and internationally.
