About the role and what you'll be doing:

As a Senior Data Engineering Consultant at Ensono Digital, you will be playing a key supportive role within your project from a hands-on technical and leadership perspective; resolving team challenges that might arise within a complex project and helping that client to realise the business benefit of an investment into the cloud. 

You will be supporting one of our data projects. By architecting subsystems whether that is data lakes or massive scale ingestion pipeline solutions including batch/grid, micro batching and stream processing and Lambda solutions. Ultimately you will be building testable data solutions with the support of your Ensono Digital colleagues and team. 

You will be working across the full project lifecycle closely with your Ensono Digital team members, understanding their business and client requirements, navigating through complex stakeholder relationships, and articulating solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as coaching and mentoring members of the project team.

What you’ll bring to Ensono Digital:

• Engineering Big Data patterns and problems 
• Engineering and modelling best practices for both RDMS and NoSQL 
• Working with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure or GCP 
• Cloud based Instrumentation and logging experience 
• Understanding appropriate use of distributed query and data processing platforms, such as Apache Spark and Google Big Query 
• Working on large sized projects with multiple teams collaborating together  
• Transferring business requirements into design and architecture sub-systems as part of a technical implementation 
• Writing appropriate integration and end-to-end testing in a BDD style 
• Articulating the purpose of chosen solutions using the most appropriate tools and frameworks of sub-systems 
• Confidently resolving challenges on a complex project and being responsible for outcomes 
• Great communication skills, in particular: presenting, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders
