Proposal Manager


Reporting to the Head of UK Bid Management, you will work with the sales and technical teams to draft concise, compelling, and highly professional responses to inbound bids (RFIs, RFPs, ITTs, etc.) and project manage them through to submission and closure of sale. You will also be called upon to support the sales organisation generally in terms of coaching and development of formal proposals and presentations.

Your Mission

  • Work closely with the sales lead to develop and articulate compelling win themes for each proposal, tailoring as necessary for vertical alignment, client messaging and stakeholder role.
  • Manage all aspects of proposal development, from coordinating the bid team to applying Ensono global processes, tools, and technology to produce, circulate for review, and finalise proposals to Ensono clients and prospects.
  • Work closely with technical teams and SMEs to formulate accurate and appropriate content, communicated in a consistent tone, supporting agreed value themes.
  • Take ownership (working alongside the relevant sales lead) of each bid opportunity, ensuring appropriate actions are undertaken throughout its lifecycle.
  • Support development of follow-up content (e.g., clarifications, BAFOs, presentations).
  • Conduct all win/loss reviews and ensure feedback is escalated to relevant business stakeholders and trends/insights are delivered to Head of UK Bid Management.
  • Contribute to departmental continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have excellent written communication skills, tied with effective presentational abilities.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Expert skills in MS Office (particularly in Word and PowerPoint).

Your Experience Includes

  • Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of education and work experience.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in proposal management.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with highly technical (or similar) teams.
  • The ability to articulate solution, technology, and product positioning, in terms of business benefits.

Extra Awesome

  • In depth knowledge of public cloud (including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud), coupled with broader infrastructure and consulting sales skills.
  • Experience with bid library and bid management tools (e.g., Qvidian).
