Practice Leader, Cloud Native Consulting & Advisory


Ensono is launching a new cloud native consulting capability in North America following a recent UK based acquisition of Amido, and we are looking for an experienced consulting and advisory leader to join our team. The Practice Leader, Cloud Native Consulting and Advisory, will be a key member of the North American Consulting and Advisory Leadership team and be the key integration point between UK and NA. This role will ensure appropriate team leadership, guidance and mentoring is given as we build and develop the NA team and build a global delivery model with the UK team. This person will be entrepreneurial and hands on yet able to operate strategically; collaborating and communicating effectively among peers and executives will be critical. This role will also support presales efforts, exhibit excellent strategic, business and technical acumen. The successful applicant will support customer projects in an oversight role.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Prior experience of building and leading a dynamic technical team within a global organization
  • A deep understanding of the digital landscape and industry expertise
  • A proven track record of independently handling C-level stakeholders, providing thought leadership and gaining strategic partnerships
  • Excellent Client Management and influencing skills, with capacity to lead key planning, requirements & design workshops when necessary
  • Demonstrable experience of selling high-value, complex solutions
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing and the business benefits of organizations embracing private and public cloud platforms
  • In-depth understanding of the commercial aspects of large-scale transformation projects
  • Experience of managing multiple, complex streams of work simultaneously
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding growth targets
  • Ability to articulate technology from a business perspective
  • Solid understanding of Agile processes and software development techniques
  • Multiple Project/Program Deliveries as a Consulting Leader and point of escalation for customers
  • Financial competence, acumen and understanding as it relates to consulting and advisory services profitability
  • Excellent communicator, with an ability to set clear expectations around project delivery responsibilities for team
  • Forward thinking, with an ability to plan for future project demand and to identify team and individual skill requirements
  • Ability to assess project risks, particularly around resourcing and implementation process
  • 15 or more years working within a professional services practice or Consulting firm, with 5 or more of those years in a Senior Management or Leadership role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading high performing teams of consultant architects, business strategists and engineers, responsible for providing a first-class service to our clients
  • Evangelizing and selling Amido’s full suite of services across all of our NA go to markets.
  • Forecasting and delivering on agreed growth targets.
  • Establishing cloud native consultancy services in the US and maintaining awareness of the competitive market landscape
  • Create and communicate a vision for the practice to their team members as well as Ensono’s leadership team
  • Formulating effective short, medium and long-term priorities, strategies and plans in line with the broader organization’s business needs
  • Leading pre-sales engagements to a successful conclusion, directly and where appropriate, via partners
  • This includes bid management, proposal writing and leading pitch teams
  • Defining the direction of accounts and executing account development plans
  • Managing client/stakeholder relationships and accounts
  • Developing long-term strategic vision for clients, using your skills and experience to drive and
    push innovative ideas
  • Ability to lead technology or business scoping or strategy sessions with the customer base in the region
  • Achieving bookings, revenue, gross margin, and delivery quality relate success metrics and communicate progress against them
  • Liaising with project teams and customers during initiation and other key stages of a project, advising how to apply best practices and how to engage with the customer
  • Providing thought leadership and applying industry knowledge to support the ongoing development of the practice
  • Taking a leadership role in the hiring of new consultants for the NA region
  • Ensure that the training and re-skilling of consultants takes place in line with the needs of the business
    Proactively collaborating with teams in other regions to drive common, company-wide strategic goals and facilitating knowledge sharing between teams
