Manager Information Technology

JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

IT Application Manager is mainly responsible for the delivery of enhancements and support services of purchased and/or custom developed business applications, leveraging one or several development framework while adhering to the supported methodologies and best practices for the application. You will be responsible for building, developing and managing a delivery team from offshore to support the day-to-day incidents and application change controls.

Job role:

• You will lead a team that Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products.
• You should have strong cross-functional and technical knowledge to help drive solutions for enterprise and commercial applications such as Workday, Salesforce, Sharepoint, MS applications,Signavio, GoTransverse,  Mobile apps etc.
• You will be working with the senior IT leadership directly to develop the overall offshore delivery governance model, SLAs, process to prioritize demands, offshore capacity planning and will be responsible for developing team and innovate for the better business outcomes.  
• you are required to spearhead projects to ensure delivery so having experience, knowledge of building project plans, schedule, risk and must have demonstrated work experience in executing projects using agile or waterfall methodologies.
• Lead/ drive meetings and cadence with the senior leadership for strategic priorities, key business transformation initiative or roadmap discussions.
• You will be responsible for supporting the IT application and will be responsible for application incident and problem management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead offshore delivery team to ensure quality solutions are delivered across applications.
• Interact/partner with the business to understand their needs. Obtain and document all requirements, own design, build and test solution end-to-end prior to releasing it in production.  
• Will be responsible for deploying application patches, upgrades and security controls when needed.
• Will be responsible for managing small to medium size project delivery in addition to delivering incidents and change controls.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a supervisory role where you will be responsible for managing a team of application developers and business solution leads.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science. The degree in business management is acceptable provided the candidate has proven experience in the similar capacity delivering technical solutions.
• Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in relevant field of application development and providing operational support.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in managing a team for delivering solution to the business partners globally.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and analytical skills. Should be able to communicate at all levels, capable of executing meetings effectively and ability to report progress.
• Should be able to demonstrate experience in building project plans, owning & executing projects in the application area.
