Are you ready to step into a leadership role on an engineering team that is helping to modernize clients’ mainframe solutions? In this role, you will be working with a team of experts responsible for delivering a quality product to the client on schedule. ExperSolve, an Ensono company, migrates legacy applications to modern platforms, such as Java Spring and C# .NET, using automated tools. The Lead Modernization Software Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead on projects, developing the core classes for the client’s modernized environment, and interfacing with customers.
For local applicants, there will be opportunities to work with the team onsite in Tarrytown, NY, but this position can be remote as well.
Leading client meetings and interaction, being the relentless ally for the client and unleashing them to do great things
Applying Java or C# coding skills in an Eclipse or Visual Studio modernization environment
Developing our core Java or C# libraries for modernized environments
Assume technical leadership onprojects to testmodernized code to ensure it is performing as intended.
Ensure that problems are appropriately analyzed, and code corrections and improvements properly implemented.
Providing consultation and teachable moments to more junior members of the team

5+ years of coding experience in Java or C#
Experience in software testing and debugging
Problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Experience with –
Object-oriented programming in Java, C#, or similar languages
Eclipse or Visual Studio
Spring or .NET
Experience in mentoringjunior colleagues on the team
Undergraduate degree, coding boot camp certification, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with legacy languages or databases
