JOB ROLE SUMMARY
An Application Engineer is responsible for supporting multiple applications, consisting of different technologies, in an Enterprise Hosted environment. The individual provides escalation support to client’s Hosting Services and Hosting Operations teams. They perform monthly upgrades of the applications in the environment and work within teams to create solutions to identified issues. They are also responsible for communication to the end users.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fully functional and self-directed
Provides formal mentorship
High complexity assignments- owner
Moderate complexity assignments – owner (1 or >)
Low complexity assignments – provide oversight/review
Regularly lead self and others and/or established as Product SME and/or established as specialist
Sees the whole picture and adjusts work accordingly
Resolve issues, manage workload, and balance priorities through frequent interruptions while meeting specific, time sensitive deadlines.
Analyze client team requests to solve short and long term technical issues.
Engineer solutions to meet company’s SLA’s and client expectations.
Monitor and assist to tune applications in the environment through project initiatives, enhancements and integration.
Perform upgrades of the applications in the Hosted environment.
Mentors others with less experience.
Apply monthly upgrades and delegate tasks.
Work with Senior Application Engineer to create and maintain documentation for all production environments and review regularly.
Engage with Sr. Engineer to document design changes and review with client prior to installation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. 4 years experience in professional job role. Industry certifications for application/s being supported.
Advanced, proven knowledge of Ensono products
