Job Description
Supply Chain Process and Measurement –

Understand and communicate global requisitioning and procurement processes.  Propose and implement process improvements, potentially including new tooling but also utilizing existing tools more effectively.  Document and publish processes.  Propose, develop and publish metrics that provide meaningful insight into supply chain opportunities and performance.

Negotiation and Deal Management –  

Professional Services contracting and indirect spend management.  Lead team negotiating contracts for professional services (including IT services).  Develop strategies for standardizing SOWs.  Jointly develop with CPE (HR) ranges for common services and staff-augmentation roles. Also lead indirect spend management of travel services, office supplies, etc.

Vendor Management –  

Vendor management program.  Lead and coordinate formal vendor-management program.  Drive quarterly exec reviews including scoring and strategy summaries.  Coordinate relationship management across Product, Operation, Partnership and Supply Chain teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiate and lead team negotiating supplier relationships for IT and professional services as well as indirect spend (e.g., marketing, travel, outside services)
  • Coordinate with CPE (HR) to develop and maintain appropriate, competitive rate standards for common staff-augmentation roles
  • Operate as a company subject matter expert and thought leader for global supply chain processes and policies.
  • Define, maintain, and update policies, procedures and work instructions for effective supply chain management and operations.
  • Lead efforts to automate processes or improve existing automation, utilizing corporate standard tools where possible.
  • Define metrics, gather data, and report effectiveness of global supply chain and vendor management processes.
  • Develop and maintain audit processes to ensure purchasing and contract-management processes are consistently followed
  • Monitor and measure supply chain activities in attainment of established Service and Operational Level objectives.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments as necessary to coordinate supply chain activities.
  • Research industry best practices and compare against Ensono’s practices to establish benchmarks for managing both vendors and supply-chain processes.
  • Provide support for various data requests for software audits, SOC/ISO audits, M&A activity and general executive management requests.
  • Serve a critical liaise function between the supply chain function and corporate IT and operational technical teams to ensure the successful integration & implementation of new applications (both client & Ensono internal), third-party ticketing systems and ERP system as necessary, in order to maintain the accuracy and integrity of supply chain processes. 
     

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director, Global Supply Chain, will supervise a team that may be comprised of resources in multiple geographies and may include other managers.

METRICS / PERFORMANCE MEASURES

The Director, Global Supply Chain will be responsible for operational budget, talent management, and measurements related to effectiveness of the global supply chain function as well as professional services and indirect spending and vendor management

 QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT sourcing or asset management, IT service management, information technology, management engineering, training, project management, or other IT management experience.
  • Demonstrated record of team and project management and delivery of metrics in an operational function
  • Vendor management or sourcing experience, preferably with IT services and statement-of-work based contracts
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail required to acknowledge, respond, and fulfill customer requests in a timely manner
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in an information-technology or accounting-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Workday and SharePoint/Teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of asset and expense accounting
  • Experience in system implementations and support and ongoing administration of operational systems
