About the role and what you'll be doing:   

The Cloud DBA Architect will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Cloud Platform Databases to ensure corporate applications' availability and consistent performance. They will work hands-on in developing and sustaining multiple Cloud Databases, such as Azure SQL, MySQL, Postgres, Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS RDS Databases, ensuring operational readiness (security, health, and performance), supporting multiple Application teams, and troubleshooting day-to-day operational issues as they arise.


  • Implement CICD pipelines for the Cloud Databases deployment.
  • Implement and Maintain Automated Processes using TSQL/PowerShell/Python/Terraform scripts.
  • Include DB technology evaluation, guidance and consultation, design support,  best practice and standards development, capacity planning, optimization, system upgrades and migrations, backup and recovery issue troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Assist with Sales on the new opportunities, evaluate the requirements and provide inputs in customizing the solutions.
  • Responsible for mentoring, knowledge share, and fostering collaboration across the team.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of relevant technical experience 

  • Certified in Azure  

  • 5+ years of experience as Sr SQL DBA / Architect 

  • 4+ years of Azure Database experience. 

  • SQL Server Experience in PAAS and IAAS is a must. 

  • 2+ yrs of Data Warehouse, Analytics, Cloud Migration, Azure Data Factory,  Azure Migration tool. 

  • Experience with Source Code Management Tools like BitBucket. 

  • Working knowledge of Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail 

  • Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing 

  • Influencing ability includes negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict 

  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information 

  • The skills related to Relationship Management include managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc. 

  • Experience in documentation and Mentoring peers. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS database migration tool, AWS Schema Conversion tool, AWS AppStream 

  • Proficiency in Programming in one of the languages Java or Python is preferred. 

  • Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure (IAM, Security Groups, Federated Access, VPC, etc.) 

  • Experience with Cosmos DB, MySQL, Postgres, Redshift. 

  • Experience working with AWS or GCP stack of Databases (RDS) 

  • Certification in AWS or GCP. 

  • 2+ years – Experience deploying Azure Data Bricks into the cloud and maintaining Snowflake data warehouses. 

  • Experience with TSQL/PowerShell/Python/Terraform scripts
