Solution Delivery Architect L2 Reports to Global Manager, Mainframe Programming (Sathishkumar Arasu) India Evening Shift / UK Day Shift Location: Chennai or Pune. Weekend work occasionally but forecasted in advance
Summary objective of the job
The Solution Delivery Architect will be engaged on the transition from client’s in-house IT into Ensono’s support. Participate in Knowledge Transfer with clients and assist in documentation creation. Successful candidate should have experience in console and batch operations. Collaborate with multiple teams with good communication skills. Knowledge in Service management process (Incident, Change & Problem)
4- 8 years of relevant experience
Minimal Requirements include three years of experience in z/OS and familiar with mainframe functional areas such as zOS, Automation, Storage, CICS, and DBMS.
Hands on experience in monitoring console, system health check process, performing IPL & SAD dump
Ability to perform FLPD (First Level Problem determination) using console commands and syslog scan
Understand and respond to WTO/WTOR. Handle device allocation errors
Good understanding of SLA’s and taking charge during critical situations and collaborate with required Teams for quick resolution
Experience in at least 2 batch monitoring tools – CA7, Jobtrac, ESP, Automan, OPC. Understand batch job process and have experience in batch monitoring, demand batch jobs, restarts and scheduling.
Ability to create concise documentation based on the KT/Shadow sessions.
Good understanding and experience on the IT Service management process, specifically Incident, Problem & Change management
Experience on Mainframe printer tasks and printing
Understanding of distributed system jobs
Job duties and responsibilities
Primarily responsible for leading the transition of Mainframe Console & Batch operations task to Ensono
Orchestrate to ensure the standard checklists are met before the Go-live. Ability to identify risks/issues and report to Project Management
Resilient to take charge of issues and co-ordinate with multiple Teams to resolve the issue
Help transition support of client environment to Ensono Steady State teams
Attend client meetings to understand environment
Address issues as they arise during client migration
