Global Vice President - Client Mainframe Operations

The VP, Mainframe Client Operations will be responsible for leading the Mainframe (MF) Client Operations team, also called our Run organization. The Run organization oversees the business as usual operational support teams for all our mainframe specific clients, including platforms, production control, console operations and L1-L2 technical support to maintain the 20% incident management and request fulfillment this team will be responsible for addressing. This experienced leader will work closely with global peers and other leaders to deliver an optimal client and associate experience, and further company objectives.


  • Manages a team that focuses on Problem Management, Change Management and Release Management.  This team will also address 20% of Incident Management, with focused attention and urgency required to address P1 issues.
  • Delivers quality services to the client’s satisfaction and established SLAs
  • Maintains close relationships with client senior executives and day to day contacts
  • Manages operating expenses department budget for labor, software and hardware cost
  • Drives ongoing efficiency improvements, driving adoption of automation and AI
  • Builds and leads a client centric culture grounded in ITIL excellence
  • Drives an open, inclusive, value-based culture that promotes overall associate engagement
  • Lead with a keen eye toward organizational development and leadership bench strength to support Ensono longer term

  • Ability to attract, develop, and retain superior technical and leadership talent
  • Demonstrated success leading large global support teams in a 24/7 mission critical environment (especially India teams)
  • Experience with global matrix reporting models
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and continue to look at efficiency through a start, stop and continue process
  • Analytical approach; track record of delivering on process optimization (including Automation), global productivity optimization and resource strategy (including offshore and productivity improvements)
  • Strong knowledge of MF Technology & iSeries
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business/information systems management and/or 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in managing multiple teams in global environments or 10 years and an MBA
